Library Resources
The Fibromyalgia Support Group of Winnipeg, Inc. Library is located at the Society for Manitobans With Disabilities (SMD) Stephen Sparling Library, Second Floor, 825 Sherbrook Street. Members can borrow Fibromyalgia resources during our monthly evening meetings or visit the Library during the day to borrow or return materials. Members must show their membership card and complete an SMD Library Application form to use these materials. The SMD librarian will track and notify individuals with overdue items. Deposit fees are not required but fines will be applied.

Collection Information
The SMD library collection consists of materials on disability, rehabilitation and habilitation and related topics and issues. The collection includes a section of children’s books on disability and a software lending library for children with disabilities. The software collection is primarily for preschool children or children with the development age of about 18 months – 7 years. The library is open to the public. Computer workstations are available for patrons to access disability information on the Internet. The SMD Library also houses the collections of the Arthritis Self Help Group, Manitoba, Manitoba Brain Injury Association, the Fibromyalgia Support Group of Winnipeg, Autism Society Manitoba and the Winnipeg League for the Hard of Hearing.
Eligibility for Borrowing
Membership to the Fibromyalgia Support Group of Winnipeg is required. Members may also borrow SMD Library resources.
Loans
Books & Videos - Limit of 2 FMS items per person
4 week period
Renewals
Two renewals in person or by telephone are allowed if another patron does not require the books. Your name can be placed on a waiting list to receive the item again after it has returned to the library. The Librarian reserves the right to recall an item.
Overdue Fines
$0.15 a day per item for overdue materials up to a maximum of $5.00 per item.
